I swapped mine while i had the windshield replaced and it was a pain. Ive heard of some just cutting a hole in the gasket to get the screws in/out but that sounds like a hassle as well.

No freaking way IMO, the guys over on RCC told me you could hold them up with a pick and get at them. I tried on Tyler's truck, on that gasket there's a small flap that hangs down over the dash then a step and it gets a lot more solid. The bolts in his were up behind that step. I actually had a decently hard time getting at them even after hacking at the gasket with a razor blade.

I recently did a dash swap, I was going to pull the windshield, but ended up leaving it in. I located the screws under the windshiled, and using a utility knife/box cutter, I made inverted V shaped notches around the screws. Worked pretty well.

I put a nicer dash in my d250, cut small v notches as well. That rubber is pretty hard to cut as well. Hardest part was trying to get screwholes to line up with the new one. Couldn't get all the screws in, but its in there lol.

who wants to come put a dash in my truck? better yet, who wants to buy a truck? im just gonna hammer the old dash to pieces so i can get at the rubber better, then cut some notches. im afraid to pull the window out, probably rusted worse than i know under the gasket.

The window rubber is sealed in from the factory. The metal will be in good shape. Its outside of the rubber foot print is where the rust is.

BTW Dodge used a lot of sealer in that area. It took a lot of laquer thinner to clean that area on my replacement cab.
