Bench Seat Swap?

Postby TNScrambler » Thu Nov 15, 2007 8:58 pm

I've got a '93 extra cab w250, its currently got a bench seat and I'm a big guy, and would love to at least move the seat back, for more let room to shift.

However I would really like to put a later model split bench with fold down console and move it back. I've seen a regular cab that had a comfy GM split bench, but it was years ago and I didn't look at the brackets.

Anyone done this?

Thanks,
Justin

I put a 94 40-20-40 bench in my reg cab 91. The best part about it was I could let my 5'4" girlfriend drive, and my knees not be in the dash. I can write up some details later on the install. I think I have some pics from a TDR member who installed a seat in his 1stGen. I liked his way of doing it better than how I did mine. Basically, take your stock bench brackets and attach them to the bottom of the split bench seat and reinstall.

was talking to my fiance's grandfather tonight, and he recently bought a 92 w250. he has put two kenworth air ride bucket seats is his truck and loves them. he runs a small electric compressor for air. the seats are a little expensive but he does a lot of towing and for him it was worth every penny.
