D-model guys - mud flaps

Postby cmann250 » Thu Jan 09, 2014 5:52 pm

Any of my 2wd brethren have mud flaps that look decent? Pics would help. ;)

I'm getting tired of snow and crap (literally and figuratively) sticking to my brand new rocker panels. I'm leaning towards diamond plate ones like this:

He's mechanically dis-inclined. Maybe he could help if my skateboard needed work.... Damn.

But my name isn't Hansen! Plus I don't have that kind of room on a 2wd.

Good, I can handle the last step

Those look good Hansen. Paint them blue, assuming the truck is going to be blue again.

1st, you build a sweet lifted Ramcharger

2nd, get on a forum/thread where Hansen is watching (who has a girlfriend, with a brother, who has access to neat machines)

3rd, you con him into making you some mud flap weights that say something cool like "The Hungry Diesel"

4th, you install them and have wicked sweet mudflaps.

 Ouch
Had a buddy of mine make a couple sets with a plasma cutter, they actually looked pretty good when he got done (Just a thought if you have or know someone with a plasma cutter and a steady hand)

Nope.....sure don't

I still don't know how to run flaps on my RC anyways, while making them look good. The darn exhaust gets in the way of everything. The tank being in the rear only allows the exhaust to be put about 2" away from the tire.
