cab mount questions

Postby 1992gen1_fan » Sun Mar 09, 2014 6:22 pm

My truck started making a loud clunk noise when I hit bumps. Sounds like a cab mount so I looked them over. I thought I'd try to tighten the front driverside one and the whole bolt and bottom rubber mount turn. Is there a way to get to the bolt head?

Inside the cab, underneath the carpet.

However, IIRC.... the 92s (not sure on what year they changed) had a screw style of (like a lag bolt) bolt that screwed upward into a welded in nut. Unlike the earlier models which had a normal bolt/nut style that went from the top to the bottom.

From the looks this one has threads and a nut so I assume its the older style then. I'll pull up the carpet and have a look. Thanks
