My name is cmann250 and I approve of that color :thumright:

I painted mine myself and didn't want to go for such an expensive color when I didn't know if I was a good painter or not. It looks great!

Did you like the way yours turned out ? I think I've got about 600 in the paint including primers and what not! Some more in my tools and all the time put in is just therapy!! Haha I had about 3 da sanders take a crap through the whole process and the last one had an idle to it by the time I was done! Buy a Hutchins I guess they are the best.

The bird bath hood sucked to get on there, but was totally worth it to do! I bought the truck for a thousand dollars totaled out so I didn't mind modifying the core support to fit the hood. I have the power wagon emblems to put on yet. And the hood used to cover part of our dog kennel.

Could be better, could be worse. Now having painted some more things I think I'm confident enough to try a more expensive color. The problem is though I'm not patient enough to sand it down flat again.

Ha I hate sanding! Don't ever try to sand epoxy no matter how long you wait! You have about 10 seconds on the da before the paper clogs up... After spraying top coat with an easier primer to sand. Ive found with patience don't work on things you've already fallen in love with unless it's broke! This truck had been redone once before, white with huge blue and silver flake. Made the truck look like a giant smashed cupcake. I was just gonna leave it like that and pull my trailer with it. About the second day I had it I was at the gas station with the box up putting fuel in and this little short guy with a duramax says to me "only a cummins owner would paint there truck like an F-Ing bass boat" and that's when the project began.

That would have been a waste of a good dew. Use coke for that purpose.
