Found some on the back side, looks like I'll be striping the entire top :?

I think I'm going to either throw away my bed mat (it sits under my tool box, can't move it to clean) or get a liner sprayed in it. That thing retains a lot of dirt.

I'm using this on the rust...I hope it works as good as the reviews suggest

 I did. I actually like those chrome tears. They look good on the truck to me but they don't last because they're made poorly.
I'll mail them to you for free if you want them ;)

That's a swell offer but Im gonna pass. I had a set and gave them away. I really like the factory ones, because they have a sweet pentastar on the front. Something you might not appreciate lol.
I also dropped some amber leds I picked up at oreilly. Less load and looks better imo.

LEDs are the plan.....hopefully. I need to find some gasket material for the bottom of the light housings too. The factory stuff is weathered and flattened out pretty bad. The housings/lens are perfect tho.

I've been thinking on it some today and can't really make up my mind. I've seen plenty of trucks without it but really like the belting down the side of my truck and don't really know how I'd like not having it there anymore.

What's y'all ideas on it?

The chrome clear stuff is peeling off pretty bad and is making the stuff look like trash. I thought about cutting the chrome strip out/off but can't find any 1/4 rounded shoe molding thick enough to match up with what's there now. I found plenty of thinner stuff but I think it'll look funny sitting so far down under the black belting.
I have thought of blacking it all out....period. Using some of the texture paint.

I wanna say Ike painted his. I think it looks better than peeling chrome. The very front fender piece and the rear most cab piece are plastic and bolted on, so youll have some holes there. I also don't care much for the rough paint line that the molding hides.

I noticed Jack Dancoe had a different type of molding on his truck in Iowa this past weekend. I assume he had it replaced when his truck got painted. It was close enough to stock that you couldn't tell unless it was parked next to another truck with stock molding. It looked good but unfortunately I have no idea what its off of.

I think I'm going to attack the truck like the molding won't be going back and paint it up with a dividing line/pin stripe. Just see how it looks.

I'll remove the molding on the cab and look how it attaches.....maybe I can just use the 3m tape to reinstall it if it weld the holes up.

I'm guessing the silver truck is doing well since you are tearing into body work on this one now.

So far it's been ok......just been adding fuel to it and driving the hell out of it. The master cylinder had a sinking feeling to it last Saturday. I replaced it with a reman trying to be a cheap ass and now the brakes suck  smh

I ran out of one brand and had to open a new qt.....that's the reason for the color difference

Glad this post is more positive than your FB one, you're supposed to be making this sound easy so I'll give it a shot on the RC.
