Tips, Tricks, Reinforcements for Cab Off Resto

What types of things are good to do while the cab is stripped and off the truck for a resto? I have found some info about reinforcing the cowl area with a metal patch to prevent or repair cracking; adding a drain to the clean air vents to remove water and debris that build up; adding reinforcements to the door skin and lower hinges; and cutting an access panel into the roof, using a donor roof to make a larger panel so as to get access to the inner portion of the outer roof skin. I have links on my PC that I can upload later if anyone needs clarification. Aside from the previous, are there any other bodymods that would be good to tackle while I can rotate, maneuver, and weld on the bare sheet metal?

Seems like most of the repairs or reinforcements are around the doors on these old trucks. There is more info out there, this was what I could easily find.
