Bed graft idea

Postby JeffTheMarine » Sat Jun 13, 2015 5:18 pm

I am thinking about getting one of the bed tool boxes out of a 72-80 style bed that mounts in the lower section of the bed. I am curious if anyone has thought about doing this or if someone has done it. I am wanting to graft it into a 81-93 style bed. I like the idea but I know they didn't offer them in the 81 and up style beds. If someone has done this some tips and help would be appreciated.

I have wanted to do this as well. Not sure why they stopped offering those cool lower jockey box's?

Probably boiled down to pennies...the number of people actually opting to have that option, did not justify the cost of manufacturing a separate box and all the components.
