Ideal shifter angle

Postby spencerdiesel » Fri Nov 06, 2015 5:12 pm

Hey guys, the previous owner of my 5 speed truck had the shifter custom bent waaaaaay towards the dash (in 5th gear it's 3'' away from the dash...). My back comes off the seat back for 1st 3rd and 5th gear......and the worst part is I've been driving it like this for 2.5 years  How comfy is the factory bend in the shifter? Or should I modify the factory angle?

The shifter is straight from the factory.

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
