rain rail rust....

small hole about 1 1/2 inches long above the driverside door on the roof, can it be fixed??? i would like to get it fixed while im in Iraq, i am going to have the body straightened and repainted, just got to figure out what color i want it.....its white right now.....

i might just cut out the bad metal, shoot it full of rust stopper, then weld in a patch and paint it.....

I've heard that sandblasting is cheaper over there. ;)

When they cut that open, they may find the hole is 6 times as big. Welding in a patch is the way to go, but like CP said, it will most likely rust thru again. Slobber that rust converter stuff in there all you can.

i might tal kto a few body shops about having it reroofed, like if soemthing fell o nthe roof and they had to repair it......i remember reading somewhere that a 1st gen guy had it done.......
