Pillar Gauge Pods

Postby 75Dodge » Sat Feb 23, 2008 10:48 am

Does anyone know where to find Pillar gauge pods for our trucks?

Geno's garage has them.

There are two different mfg's of the pods for our trucks. One brand is autometer the other is propods. The autometers give a etter viewing angle.

Geno's definitely has them. But I checked Autometer and they just have stuff for 98 and up. What do you, or anybody else, run?

I have the autometer 2 gauge setup. It woks great if you have an LE trimmed truck.

I have the AutoMeter 2 gage pillar mount and the single gage steering column mount.

AutoMeter might only show 94 and up on the website. But I would give them a call and see if they have any for our trucks in stock.

I have seen and set in a truck with the ProPods that Geno's sells. I do not like the angle of the gages.

Autometer p/n's are 15198 for the 2gauge pod; 15199 for the single. Or I could have the numbers reversed, but that is the range you need to be in.

Will a single and double fit on our relatively short A-pillars? i was thinking of that, as I have an auto, and if I keep it, I'll have pyro, boost, tach, fuel pressure, and tranny temp.

hey just wondering what gauges you went with (part #'s), there are more than one of the Autometer Phantom II guages... i dont know which one to choose, they all look the same to me, besides the different boost levels... thanks

also, does autometer make a 2-1/16" tachometer that would fit into the pillar? i wanted to do boost and tach seeing as though my truck doesnt have either.....

I would get a pyro before I got a tach. Boost, Pyro, Fuel Pressure, and Tranny Temp (for an auto) are the most important gauges. A tach is just a little something extra. 8)

True, but its also nice to see what exactly what its revving at.... i have never owned a vehicle without a tach so its just hard to get used to not having one is all.....

next payday i will be getting the a-pillar mount and gauges so we will see how that goes. thanks for the advice!! :)
