Any Dodge and Chevy 8 lug is the same, and 98 and older Fords. Superduties and Excursions use a metric 8 lug pattern.

Until Ford introduced the "Super Duty", all 8-lug wheels shared a standard 8-on-6-1/2" bolt-pattern, both SRW and DRW.

BUT, Chevy/GMC, although the pattern is the same, have a much too small center opening that WILL NOT clear the Dana hubs found on nearly all Fords and Dodges.

A machinist's lathe can be used to enlarge the too-small opening of the Chevy wheels to clear the Dodge hub.

Also, the factory steel wheels that came standard on the Fords are of much superior construction than the Dodge wheels.

I Like Rickson

For my money, Ricksons with the commercial grade 19.5 tires are the best wheel/tire combo available.

Unfortunately, a big chunk of what I thought was disposable income went to the IRS again this year, so I won't be getting them anytime soon.

Where's a good place to get non-chromed lug nuts? I need some enclosed ones that protect the threads but can't stand chrome.

Go to a "true" parts store and ask to see there stud and lug book. Just match size and thread and you should find something. They should have illustrated books.

ok, i just cruised through the dorman book and your only options are stainless or black. i guessed you wanted non-shiny, so here is the info on the black ones:

p/n 611-123, made by dorman

1/2"-20 x 1 1/4" long, 13/16" hex, 60 deg. tapered seat. i work for o'reillys, so if you got one local you can get it there. otherwise, over the internet or another parts place that handles dorman should be able to get them.

I've got bunches of them that aren't shiny enough anymore for my taste that anybody can have. :D They don't fit into my "Ban black wheels" campaign.

Children, ya'll behave!

Thanks for the part numbers and details Rumblefish.

Go Overit - you really want to get rid of those "de-chromed" ones? If so, I'm interested.

When is SOP? I had a good time year before last and was sorry I missed last year (although northern California was fun).
