Has anyone put 19.5 or 22.5's on a 4x4 DRW truck?

Postby IC-Smoke » Sun Feb 01, 2009 12:09 am

Has anyone put 19.5's OR 22.5's on a 4x4 DRW 350? If so did they lift it? pics?

I want to run a set once I finish the 90 but Im not sure if I should lift it or not as it will be down to the frame shortly and figured it would be a good time.

Im thinking the 22.5's would look too big for the wheel wells and would certainly need a lift 4-5" but Im not sure if a 19.5 set would work without adding a inch or two to make it look proportionate.

W350 DRW std cab by the way

Thanks

Why so Big?

The 34's on 17" wheels with 3" lift on mine "just" fit, and are on the verge of looking too big for the truck. Fuel mileage will certainly suffer badly and anything bigger looks kinda goofy if it's not strictly an off-road rig, IMHO.

that truck? are they 19.5's?

My 90 will just be a weekend warrior to cruise around in so fuel mileage isnt a large factor.

Thanks!

Just my opinion, I am running accuride set of 19.5's on 96 d3500. Not had much luck they vibrate pretty bad from 45 to 95. My friend is also runnig a set on a single wheel and he bought his tires new and is not gonna get but about 50000 miles  But advise on were to get the wheels the cheapest is through summit racing believe it or not... But be really specific if you order them from them they were a little iffy over the phone about them. But they do have them. Sorry so long got carried away. :D

I bolted up a set of bias 19.5s on my W350 at SOP (rode WAY too rough- had one truck fall apart on midwest roads, wont let it happen to another). Looked pretty good, IMO- filled the wheel wells without looking gaudy. Raised the truck about another 1.5-2" off the ground due to the added diameter of the tires.
