Broken Brace

Postby FRadisi » Tue Jan 19, 2010 8:26 pm

The brace I am talking about is inside the cab behind the firewall and under the dash, the steering column runs between the two sides and I think the clutch pedal runs right next to it. There is a large crack perpendicular to the ground on one side and every time I push the clutch it, it separates the two sides of the brace and pushes the firewall forward. Is this part available from Dodge or will I need to make a brace and weld it back together? I can see that someone had previously welded the crack, but it obviously didn't hold.

haha mine did the same thing, pushed the master thru the firewall, put a 3/4 inch bolt behind the bracket and the firewall and weld the support back up, remove the carpet first it burned a nice hole in mine.
