Crewcab

Where are you guys finding your crewcabs? I'm looking for a 2wd long bed but can't find anything. Just wondering where you all are finding yours.

Go west my son. Lectro Static finds tons of them on the Seattle area craigslist. He teases me with all the adds. On DTR currently user " Orangeracer " has a nice looking 85 longbed 2 wheel peel with a 360 and an auto for 3500 bucks. It looks nice in the pictures. If I had the money I would be on my way to Maryland to get it.

It's in Canada right. That's why I didn't look into it anymore. Anyone know what it takes to get a truck shipped in from Canada?

Guess I need to do a little research. On a side note does anyone what year cabs share the same body lines and such with our trucks? Found some 70s crew cabs and was wondering if they are the same or close?

you can use a 70's cab if you swap the front doors. the rear doors are the same between 70s and 80s.

There's at least two listed on here for sale in the "Trucks section" I listed a rough one and nobody is interested. I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth doing one anymore. I think the crew cab conversion thing peaked around 2005 and the trend is going away.

I just really like my old Dodges and there just isn't enough room in my club cab. I fell in love with the old crew cabs when I saw the maroon one in the movie 8 seconds and now have the time to build one.

I have been half looking for one for a while. But all in my price range ( LOW LOW ) are rusty junk. I am open to a few ways of building one. Making a reg cab frame longer, converting 2 wheel to 4, ext. I don't care which way I make it happen.

I'm not afraid of some body work so as long as it's not 100% junk I'm ok. The cabs on the 70s model body lines look close in pics. Need do do more searching I guess found a bunch of short bed mid 70s just not many long beds.
