The gap between the cab and bed is the same as the rest of my trucks. It might just look odd from the angle of the pic or the old beat up body panels  .

Chassis cab rear end is narrower and the inner tires will rub the inner wheel wells. I had to move the wheel wells in 1 1/8" on both sides to clear my tires.

That is really neat. I would do that rather then shorten the frame.

Did you have to move the wheel wells because of the tire rim combo you are using? Or did the stock rims and tires rub?

My tires and wheels dont take up anymore space width wise than a factory set up. I've been told by a few guys that you can hammer enough clearance into the wheel wells to make it work, but thats not my cup o' tea. I don't have any more pics of the bed, as I am still in the process of finishing it. Thanks for the comments!

If i run into issues i am thinking possible wheel spacer rather than the cutting the box up?

Does anyone know the measurement differences of the two dually axles?

Your back of your bed is back to far. It should be 26" of extra space. 159wb-133wb=26 in diffrence. That is why your back wheels look like they are not centered in the wheel wells.

wheel base difference on my truck to regular is 4 inches but my deck vs box has 5 inch difference from front of deck/box to center of wheel openings.

wheel base minus wheel base isn't going to work out the the cuts he required to stretch his bed. picture is on an angle which makes it look not on center. i am sure he would have measured a million times before hacking up a box.

The bed is just laying on there in the picture. But a standard cab, 8' box has a 131" wb. 159wb-131wb=28 in difference. I'm actually adding only 27 inches though... I figure I'll set the wheelwells centered, and keep the cab away from the box an extra inch to prevent the upper box corners from coming in contact with the cab if there is any twisting from the long wheelbase. The way the box wraps around the cab at the upper corners has caused some contact on my previous trucks.

Trendz is this project still in progress? I too would love to see more picture. Looks really cool!

I figured out what I am going to do to get my box to fit. Use the 60" span dually axle I forgot I had sitting in the back yard. Well I didn't realize it was 60" and actually the size I needed til Richie O mentioned the differences of CC and complete trucks. I had saved the axle from a 93 W350 a buddy and I parted out between the two of us. Lucky for me.

It looks as those the springs perches are the same width apart as the frames in these trucks are the same distance apart. Correct? No mods are needed to stick this 60" dually axle under my CC?

I stand corrected. Since I knew the wb on my 67's is 133 I thought the newer trucks were the same. Looking at the book does show them to be 131. An 11ft box would look cool on my 4x4 159"wb cab and chasis! 8)

Yeah the axle should bolt right in.
My truck is "a work in progress". That picture is the most recent. I will post a few more as progress happens. The truck is pretty much done, other than the bed work. Maybe when its closer to finished I'll do a more detailed post.
KTA, I was starting to doubt myself! Well, if I was wrong, at least I would have had MORE material than I needed... Better than not enough! My friend owns a sheetmetal/fab shop. He is duplicating the floor panels for me. This is kinda why its not done yet. I can't really push him, he has PAYING jobs to do!
