All I did on the timing end was bump it 1/8" when I put the pump on. Some times it takes it a few cranks to light off, with the throttle down a bit...

I put some clear tubing on between the fuel strainer and the lift pump, no bubbles or anything. Replaced the fuel filter with a new FS1221. Still runs like poo. I guess I am going to tear into the pump again and see what's what. Good thing I got three re-seal kits...

Well, problem solved. Solution? My own stupidity  Upon re-assembly (1st time) I put the KSB piston in sideways, and both shims on the bottom of the spring. Proper re-assembly=great running pump.

Progress? Pictures? Yes and Yes!

Well, it runs, drives, steers and stops. Still got a lot of small stuff to finish, needs a stronger clutch as it pushes right through the one that's in it now, need to get the rear Kelderman single bag on, get the interior put together and speakers put in. Took it to town today, idle screw lock nut backed off and the screw went waaaaay in, good thing I had a handful of tools and some wire, got it turned to where the thing would idle decent and wired it in place to get back home. Got a weird fueling issue, when I let out of the throttle, it will chug down so low it almost dies, then pops right back up to proper idle speed. The more I turn the fuel screw in, the worse it gets, so bad that when I snap the throttle open, it'll chug down and die. Any suggestions?

I took it to work, got a few more bugs worked out of it, got a few complements too. I don't know how long I can run it, trying to be easy on it, really need to get a clutch ordered for it...any suggestions?

Southbend is the best driving.

Valair is very good also.

Ask Ellis if he likes his Southbend, that IMO is probably the best upgraded clutch. PM me if you're interested in pricing.

I have a Valair, and it's jerky. It's also a 650 hp ceramic clutch so that could be why..... ;) It feels smooth on the pedal, but it's either in or out. It's a little too much clutch for what I'm doing with it, but I don't care!
