This one is always up your butt and just a pain to me. I miss my rot/Shepard mix. If I could train my brothers dog he would come home with me. He is an awesome dog and strong as hell. My brother just leaves him chained up though.

Well I worked on the old girl today.I pressure washed the 9 inch and reassembled it all. Pulled truck in the barn and started teardown on it. I'll have to move the perches and wondering if I should go ahead and move the springs since I'll have to narrow the rear to fit my big tires.

So that's where she sits. I'm going to try and wiggle the rear end around and see if she will work. I spent all morning cutting up trees and hanging with my daughter.

Went out and messed with it some more and got enough give to seat the rear end each spring pack moved over about a 1/4" so I'll probably run it like that for now. Plan to move springs under frame rails anyway so I can narrow the rear about 2" on each side later to tuck my big tires.

From wheel mating surface to wheel mating surface its about 1/4" difference. It looks wider but because of the way the hubs and rotors are on the 70 its minuscule.

Ordered a conversion U-joint yesterday to go from 1350-1410 so I didn't have to change my driveshaft. Hope to get it moving under its own power this weekend again.

Carquest use to call those bastajoints.
Dad had a 74 long bed Chevy that had a 12bolt in it and it used one. You could order joints for it all you wanted and could never get one until you asked for that  weirdo, lopsided joint.

I was only able to find one company making these and no one local was of any help. It was $30.39 shipped here. If it works I'll order a spare or 2.

Maybe google the number on the box when you get it. You may be able to buy 2 for that price. ;)

I googled to find that one. Everyone else wanted $50-75 for the same joint plus shipping. It was $19.80 plus shipping.
