The van lowers are the same as the D250 they just accept the D150 smaller ball joint. As for the seats I'm sure you can make them work. I have a 97 Chevy split bench in mine right now. My truck is an 83 and the factory cab was rotted like crazy. I swapped on a 89 cab and it's starting to rot through above the drip rail over the windshield. It's just a issue with them. When looking that is the main spot to check.

So, if I'm going to keep the 8-lug hubs I just need to stay with the D250 arms, I take it.

As to the roof, do you need to remove the headliner to check good or are there other tell-tale signs? I'd hate to take a pick or screw driver to a truck I may not buy.

If they are solid on the outside they are usually good. I always press with my fingers looking for soft spots. Yes just stay with the D250 arms

They rust across the entire front of the cab over the drip rail.

Hey Andy. Tried to see if I could send you a PM but I guess this forum doesn't have that.

Anyway, my question is about the front suspension and steering. As I've said I'd eventually like to put my engine and drivetrain in a 1/2 ton SB and use the D250 front suspension and steering parts. If I completely rebuild the front end on the D250 now, I'm talking ball joints, bushings, all steering components, will I be able to transfer it all to a 1/2 ton frame?

Thanks.
Scott

The reason you can't PM is you need 25 useful posts before you can PM or place sale ads.

I think I found a truck. '93 D150 RC SB, no rust, but the druver door and left front fender are trashed. Will the fender and door off my '92 EC LB fit with no issues?

Picked up a '93 D150 RCSB today. Time to get started.

The body's in good shape, no rust or damage except the driver door, driver fender, and tailgate. I'll swap them from the '92 D250.

Looks good. I really want to push my motor back a foot and a half in mine. That may happen eventually.
