Avalanche is out of business now. I called another place that has them but I can't see spending $600+ when I have the the material and capability to make them.

I have searched for the dimensions but have no luck. I was hoping to have it made before I pull the motor out of my donor truck.

I couldnt spend $600+ buying a mount and after a few days of staring at the truck thinking how I was going to make one this was what I came up with. I hope I never plan on replacing that cummins with something else!

I started building the mounts around the motor.




Fits like a glove!

I have a 6" lift so clearance underneath wasnt a problem.

Try Scott from Tennessee Diesel Conversions who makes & advertises them over on 4BTswaps.com in the "vendor section" - His member name over there is crewcab59.

I'll toss in a few tips that I learned during the 2WD to 4WD Dodge crewcab & from other conversions I have looked at. You engine tilt from from to rear needs to be within +/- 1-1/2 degrees of your rear axle pinion angle. This keeps your drive shafts close to the factory specs. Also, when doing a 4WD you can tilt the engine off vertical to gain clearances for the frame, exhaust pipe, crossmember & for the front drive shaft & transfer case.

If you need to notch a frame or crossmember it is usually a good idea to grind the notch and weld a piece of 1/16" - 1/8" at a right angle to the cut. This forms a single right angle to the cut and reinforces the notch and gives the cut area some of the strength that it has lost.
