Was your crew fitted with a suspension and/or body lift? I plan on keeping my crew project setting no higher than the stock height of the 92 dodge donor truck to try and prevent this.

Poor truck, glad you got out without a ride in a meat wagon.

Yeah, that thing looks like it had 4-6" of lift under it.

this is the box that saved our lives it was 4x4x18 inches high and had a 200 lb helicopter rotor in it when I loaded the box and everything else at the Base out side of reno NV that Morning I had put a cargo net over the bed well when we flipped the net held enough to let the box slide down and stop under the edge of the bed so that help up the rest of the truck

this was my wifes side Thank goodness she's Short because the cab on her side was squished
had some interesting times the last few yr's but thing's can Only get better Right ???????
The problem was this Road should have been Closed due to road condition's but because Nevada has Casino's and the area of Ca I believe it's called Jackson Ca has a Indian casino they keep the road open at all cost for the time this happened and sat (3) day's when the tow truck showed up to bring my truck back home there were 2 fatality accident's in the same area we rolled and they never closed the road . Good thing was we weren't hurt Bad because the Ambulance never showed up heck it took CHP 20 min's to get there

Wow. I never saw those pics on TDR, I musta missed them. Glad you made it out of that ok.
Was the rotor ok, or did it have to be scrapped?

i've been playing around with the idea of adding a small roll cage-bar in the crew when i build it. after seeing how your roof collapsed i'm thinking much more. no one ever plans to put one on the roof, it just happens. good to know no one was hurt. could have been much worse.

Probably realized those Goodyear MT hummer tires aren't the best on ice when you hit the pedal. Looked like it was a helluva truck tho.

Good luck on the build!

the wierd part was that was 3 miles from Clear road after driving over 90 some miles in Snow n ice we hit that corner and it was done .As for that truck it was rebody'd in 2 month's and sold I never turned it into insurance company because I had basic insurance not full . But the new build will have bit's and pieces of the old truck not sure if you can see it but I had a 440 six pack scoop on it and it had a Minor crack in it well it's going on this truck

the truck then had roughly 6 in lift front n rear plus 3 in body lift after I rebuilt it I went to 8 in front spring's dual shock's and 39's and with body lift it was around 11 inches

If I'm reading this right I get 15" above stock height. The stock 16" or 16.5's are on average around 31" tall. Going to 39's the difference in tire height is 39-31 which is 8, divided by 2 equals 4". Tire height difference [4"] + front springs lift [8"] + body lift [3"] equals 15 inches above the original 4WD factory height. In order to maintain a similar factory center of gravity you would need to widen the tread width a width equal to or greater than the total increased amount of lift. Didn't Dodge got rid of its old treadwidth on full size factory trucks starting in the mid 90's? Our trucks have the same treadwidth going way back into the 1960's. This early somewhat narrower treadwidth in combination with a lifted Cummins Diesel engine drivetrain's weight work against anybody who elevates the heavier drivetrain.
