Gut it and paint the frame rails. It would go with the budget theme, and look good painted. Id remove any cross members that aren't being used (spare tire, t-case skid plate). Find a couple junker factory bumpers and take a hole saw to them.

All this talk of putting the truck on a diet has me thinking, maybe I could lose 50 or so pounds to help out.

The only cross member i would feel safe removing is the one the spare tire and shocks mount to. Going custom shocks with it being lowered.

Just ordered a lift pump from Eric. Excited to install it!

Just picked this up for $100.

11 gallon, fuel sump with 2 -8AN fittings, -6AN fuel return, and brackets. Poly construction

On the (e)Bay, it seems something like this without brackets is around $150.

Sure Ike!

Eric, something conservative right now. Going for cheap more than anything. Either PODs (yuck) or 375s.

370s are a cheap injector.

Food for thought. My builder tells me to use a marine 350 over the 370. They flow exactly the same on his flow meter, both are a 5 hole sac..... yet he says that the 350 always seem to chatter better "out of the box". He still doesn't know why but about 10% of the 370s out of the box leak and he usually has to clean or do something to them.

There is also a 5 hole VCO nozzle that is the same size, that I'm actually going to try here by next week. yes the 155 angle..... but I'm hoping with the right washer and I've had 8 thou milled of fmy head that I can keep it in the bowl. I'm having it opened up to the DDP comp size of 70-72ish lpm.

Straight up truck trade? I have the non-IC engine, the auto, and the Mopar light weight "racing" package already.

When i said hardly, i meant very little. Aka the bed. Multiple holes and inner giant one for the stack. The left rear corner was about rusted through.
