Thanks TJ! Seen pictures of the 92, looks a lot better with the lift and tinted windows :thumright:

Hopefully, I can get the cab removed tomorrow...

I hope the weather dries out and warms up, I got some painting to do...

Sure is ;)

Got out of bed nice and early, made some decent progress today...

Got the cab pretty well gutted...

Image

Yeah... there was no saving this cab :|
Image

And an hour later...
Image

Crap :(
Image

Double crap :( :(
Image

The rear cab mounts are a little better, not as much missing material, just cracked right at the outward edge...

So if anyone has a pair or a set of four cab frame mounts, please let me know ;)

Gives me some motivation to rip my 90 apart and put a cab on it.

Well, gutting and removing that cab was alot easier than I thought it would be. I will be disecting the cab wiring harness and repairing all the bad parts on it. Going to go through the heater box, clean that guy out. Still need to get some screens for the cowling, and get my buddy with a mobile welding rig to come up and weld the new center hump in (when it gets here) and the tiny little crack at the bottom of the windshield, where they always do. I wish I would have thought to grab those mounts off the donor frame, that thing didn't have a lick of rust anywhere

I wish it would warm up around here so I can start painting stuff...

What about using some huge washers to kinda "patch up" those mounts till you find new ones? I just looked under my truck and see no reason you couldn't put them in later.

That makes sense, I will scrounge around the scrap bin at work and see what I can find...

I have a set of cab mounts and 3 of 4 are in good shape. All four are better than the ones you have pics of. I'll have to look and see which one is bad if you're interested.

Ike this is a 1 1/8" flat washer on the rear cab mount on my truck. On my rear mount I had enough of it left to know where the center of the hole was.

Image

I used a piece of 1/4" flat stock on the front mount. I then used a 1 1/4" hole saw to punch the hole threw it. This mount had no way to get a center point from it.

Image

On that front mount I waited till the cab was mounted and squared to the chassis. I used a 5/8" transfer punch to mark the hole from the inside of the cab. I drilled a pilot hole from the top side. Then I used the hole saw from the bottom side.
