dazedandconfused wrote:So other then a bad universal, a fuel leak and crappy mileage the psd runs okay. The salt has done a toll on it though. It will need manifolds and up pipes since they are rotted bad and a oil pan. I'm dripping fuel down the back of the block but nothing in the valley. I'll have to look into that tis weekend. I'll be lucky to get 12mpg its looking.

Its the fuel return that runs under that turbo pedestal. Real common. I think I'll have you covered on parts Andy,it's all on the floor of the shop,I just need ol boy to make a move

Well me and the old man worked on the Ford some this weekend. I figured out my salt spreader and got the bed working. Dad finally had enough of my procrastination and installed my mud flaps too.

Still tossing the idea of putting a Cummins in this. I really wish some people wouldn't pick up tools.

That's interesting. Interesting is the best word for it.

They managed to screw up the snap ring retainers so bad on one U-joint I had no choice but tac the new joint like they did. It will get a new shaft when I rebuild the 83.

I don't see a problem, the old joint didn't fall out did it? Then it was a good fix. ;)

No but the bastards were a pain to get out. I just pulled in the house to steam coming from under the hood. It appears they broke a bolt changing the thermostat as well and didn't bother fixing it so its decided to leak. I'm pretty sure the Duck was laughing at me.

Well took the guttless bastard to pick up a cab yesterday. I'm less then impressed with this thing each day I drive it. Its way underpowered and gets horrible fuel mileage. I averaged 7mpg yesterday pulling a 16' trailer with a cab on it. Running 65mph top speed sucked also. Guess I'll pick up that 440 I've been watching.

Went to the local pull-n-pay today since they were doing there everything you can carry for $80 deal. I picked up doors, some trim and the pedal assembly. I also picked up some little pieces for other projects as well.

I pulled the pcm out of the dump tonight. Apparently its been wet before. I had to pull the e-brake and use a 2x4 and hammer to beat this SOB out.

Andy you went about that as$ backwards, you should have dropped(peeled the rear of it forward) the inner fender(plastic junk) and removed it by taking out that plate with tje two nuts holding the computer in.
