Couple more questions

What did you use for slave cylinder on the nv4500 and how's it holding up?

Did it hook up to the ford slave cylinder line pretty easily?

Power steering lines

Do they have to be made? I can't decide how it hooks up

I also converted to hydro boost

Fuel lines did you re use one of the v10 lines as a return?

Thanks for putting up with me

Dorman CS360047. 95 Jeep Cherokee w/4.0L. Holding up fine, only complaint I have is the pedal is a bit lower than I'd like. I have an AA bellhousing fyi.

The jeep slave/ford master use the exact same connection. I used AN fittings and a matching AN line to connect them. Super easy and no worry of the line being too short/long. Pre-made -3 AN lines are pretty cheap and what I used.

One of my goals with the swap was no custom lines. I'm pretty sure I used a mid/late 90's chevy line with a little creative reshaping that I had on hand from when I had converted the dodge to hydroboost. IIRC if you remove the steel 90 degree fitting off the ford hydroboost the chevy line screws right in place.

Yup. Capped off the old feed line and reused the old return. I pulled the pump out and put a bulk head fitting with a draw straw for a new feed.

I really appreciate it.
I ended up figuring out the power steering lines and hydro boost yesterday.

Thanks for the slave part number. Only thing that scares me is I'm running a south bend dual disk and not sure if that'll be enough slave. Are you running a stock clutch?

Thanks man

I have a Southbend single disk clutch that was rated at 400hp/800 ft lbs so something like a stage 1 I guess?

Here are the measurements on the masters/slaves for the various vehicles. The Jeep slave/ford master are smaller bores than the dodge stuff, so not a perfect combo.

The jeep slave is nice because it has a bleeder screw unlike the dodges. Seems what most folks are recommending so that is why I tried it. I think the smaller ford master is the source of my low pedal since it doesn't move as much fluid in the same stroke as the dodge masters would. Can't win them all I guess.

1st gen master = 7/8" bore (.875")
1st gen slave = 1" bore (1.000")

2nd gen master = 29/32" Bore (.906")
2nd gen slave = 1" bore (1.000")

super duty master = 18mm bore (.708")
super duty slave = 13/16 bore (.812")

jeep master = 17.75mm bore (.698")
jeep slave = 21mm bore (.826")

Not sure yet but I'll probably throw a THD fuel pin in there and see what that does next.

First time pulling my trailer since the cummins swap. The dodge averaged 12-14 mpg towing it and the Ex did this run at 13.5 mpg. I'm happy with that as when V10 powered it got about 8. Plus the Ex is like 2k pounds heavier and has taller/heavier/more aggressive tires. I suspect that it being an suv helps out in the aero department considerably.
