You bought a new pump for it? Oh man that sucks. Don't open it and call the seller and see if they'll take it back if unopened, maybe you will only have to pay return shipping.

Glad you found the bolt and that was it.
Goes to show you never quite know what can go wrong, look how long everybody has been trying to help fix it, and none of the common problems was it.

Yeah that is something extra special that I'll file away in the memory bank. Glad you got it going.

Since it is running again, decided to make it official  (the C is chrome, not black)

Also since it has been so cold lately, I planned on putting the block heater cord back on. Only problem is the turbo oil drain tube is right up against the block and I don't have room to reattach the cord. Arrrg!

Not that it would be easy, but you could move the block heater and put a new soft plug in the old hole. ;)

I just tied together the wires to make it start for now. I have the actual switch but haven't wired it yet.

The wires for that and the reverse lights go to the position switch do dad on the the trans. I might have the colors written down out in the garage, I'll look tomorrow.

Looking at my notes on the computer and I'm 99% sure this is correct.

Starter:
Straight circuits, no PCM or GEM involved. Jumping the DB/OG and TN/RD from the range switch will allow the starter to run at any time the key is moved to start.

Reverse lights:
Running the LB/PK and the BK/PK wires from the range switch to the reverse switch on the transmission should take care of this.

Yea, simple 2 pin switch on the NV. I believe it uses a standard weatherpak connector too.

Hey

Got another question

Dropped and drained my tank yesterday and installed my sump.

Wanting to kill power to the stock pump but retain the function and power of the fuel level sending unit.

Did you do this? Have the power wire color I need to kill? Thanks again

I believe I pulled either a relay or fuse out of the underhood fuse block

Very nice excursion! When I built my wife's I had the same issues getting it running. I didn't have the correct return banjo bolt. What a pain that was. Haha
