We cut the old frame off rigth infront of the rear mounts and right behind the tranny mount. Pulled it apart the 16" that needed added. We ran 2×2 square tubing down the sides of the frame to make sure it stayed square. Also put legs under the truck to hold it at the same height. Welded it back together inside and out then added fish plates on the back side of the frame. Cleaned the frame up and slapped some under coating on under the cab. Turned out really good i think

In this picture you can see the old section of extended cab frame on the driver side and the crew cab frame on the passanger side

I agree with Andy, it looks great! I wish I had a decent shop to work in and the energy to do it.

So you actually added more then 16" to just the club cab frame, correct? You made the cut, stretched the frame out to get the correct wheel base, and then cut out and pasted in the 4' (?) section of crewcab frame?

At least that is how I am seeing it being done. Anyway you did it you sure did a heck of a nice job...and quick too! :D

Exactly. We added 55" of crew cab frame to the club cab frame, but onluy 16" of wheel base. We did this to get the frame down quicker in The back to miss the floor of the cab.

Cleaned the floor all up. Put some rust converter on a few small spots that had some surface rust on them. Then layed down a nice layer of primer. Then a layer of sound deadening mat. Have bout half done. Still have the firewall and the rest of the driver side to do.
