Also getting a bit of a hard start after sitting along with a fluttering fuel pressure gauge. Ordered a Tork tek ofv020 hopefully that solves it.

Could it be a WH1C being a 160 pump engine? I dont think they have MWE slots like the 35's do

I used the 24v manifold and turbo, port matched.

I did get it running stronger. Star wheel cranked and preboost turned in woke it up quite a bit. Top end has plenty of fuel.

Still chasing a bit of air in the system though.

Got a bunch of little gremlins sorted out on this, JIC fitting on lift pump was sucking air, Totk tek ofv set at 40 psi, cat filters new fuel lines and some pump tuning/GSK adjustment(two clicks tighter than oem stud measurement)

Still felt anemic for the mods to the pump. Reset Gov springs back to two solid clicks tight to regain idle strength, a set of 7x.010 sac injectors later and it's another animal.

Lots of tuning to do now but it seems the oem injectors were just plain ragged out. The 7x.010s made it come alive on the bottom end.

Only got one night test run on them so I couldn't judge smoke output but by the way it runs I think that 160 pump is really doing its job now. 3rd gear got squirrelly on a hard pull, likely pushing the limit of the con OFE already.....

Also been working on an older ranch hand bumper that someone hacked the top off, made it a bit more aggressive looking, sandblasted painted & bedlined.

Got my afc controller put together and installed. Air pressure regulator, air flow reg, and a on/off switch so I can set it between the "tune" and kill mode

Man the afc in cab control has been making me want to buy a p pump truck for 2 years. I love the idea of mild to wild tuning faster than changing settings on a programmed truck

Yeah it will be interesting to see how it works.

I ordered the regulator with a softer spring to better accommodate pressure under 50 psi,

Bench testing it showed it started to kill flow around 45 psi with the regulator opened up all the way, which is where the switch will come in handy if it needs more air to the afc

If anyone is interested in these valves pm me, they are about $25 each.

Sharp looking rig, how's it feel compared to your VE?

I'll let you know in a few months :)

The truck doesn't have a spot of rust on it and I'm trying to keep it that way. MN winters destroy good trucks....

Ive only had it out once since putting injectors in. It felt really strong but there's a lot more tuning to do. Needs more timing and I'd like to try to get more than 40 psi out of the piston lift pump

It sure doesn't start like a VE that's for sure.
