Looking for a diesel fuel cap for my 77 Power Wagon

Postby Collers9640 » Thu Dec 28, 2017 6:40 pm

I’m trying to find a fuel cap that breaths for my 77 Cummins that looks stock. Anyone has any suggestions or maybe something I can do to mod a fuel cap?

Guess you don't want a green one? I bought one of those, green with "diesel" written on it. I am paranoid that some clown might try and fuel the truck and not notice that it's diesel. ;)

Yep I don’t take no chances either I have a locking green slant cap on my 91.5 but the 72- 80 dodge truck don’t have a screw in fuel cap

Is the filler in the cab corner? It takes the cap with tabs right? Take the neck out and put in a newer neck with threads. You can modify it if you have to, cut and reweld to make it straight, or change the curve.
pete

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

The Filler Neck I’m on the bad. I don’t want to put a newer treaded cap on... it just wouldnt look right.
I know I 1978 dodge put a diesel in their pickup, I wish I could figure what they used
