just picked up a crew cab

Postby oconnellrb » Sun Jan 27, 2008 10:28 am

83 crew cab 4x4 prospector. It had a second gen motor and auto trans (that he kept) divorced to a 205 transfer case. The truck is set up for second gen motor mounts. I have a non intercooled motor and 518 trans that i want to put in, can i put second gen mounts on my motor and bolt it right in?

thanks Ryan

Also need help posting pics thanks!

twins I'll be happy if i can get it running with the single hx 35 that ive had for a while. where is the best place to get the motor mounts. I also need the part number for the intercooled t-housing and a good place to get the radiator from.

thanks Ryan

locally there is a '76 2x4 crew cab long box . at least a 3/4 , maybe even a 1 ton . 318 4 speed
it is a former deptarment of transportation truck , so it might have been a special order . from what i could see , the frame wasn't cut and stretched .

i would have bought it if it wasn't so rusty ( there's not much left to weld to too , it's that bad ) .

anyways .... you stepped in something good there :)
