First off Id like to thank everyone's input on this site.Ive done alot of research from here so I haven't had to ask any questions as most have already been answered. Well anyway, this is my truck. I bought it last spring as a stock 2wd 460,gutless gas hog. I swapped in the dodge Dana 60 with chevy dually hubs and drove it all summer to work out the bugs. It drove great first time out so,,,,now its time to put some real torque in it. Progress is slow as the funds are low, but I will update as I get more done. Just finished installing studs (atleast until its running for final retorque).

That's a nice looking truck.

This is the cooler I'm gonna be using. it's roughly 11x11. Any idea of the best undertruck spot to mount it.

I have one very similar and it is mounted under the truck to the bed braces on my 93.

Right above the driveshaft? Does it run constantly or does it get a little airflow?

Put it behind the cab between the box side and the frame. Pretty sure this is where the factory add on coolers go. I did my buddies F550 in the same spot and it works good there.

Sharp looking truck, a cool project for sure! ;)

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.

Mine is mounted on the driverside just behind the cab on the outside of the frame. If you were to look under the front of the bed by the fillerneck you would see it.

Outside of frame on d-side was my thought too. Was thinking of mounting it at an angle to protect the fan a little.

It's close enough to the cab on mine it's protected pretty good from debris.

Get a piece of mesh and make a guard for it. I didn't like the looks of it hanging out there unprotected either so that's what I did. Just cut it big, bent the edges around and put the mounting bolts thru it when I mounted the cooler. IIRC there's about an inch between the mesh and cooler.

Thanks, all good ideas. I work on it just fridays after work so progress is slow. I hope to at least have it move in and out of the shop under its own power in about three weeks. Movin this thing without a wrecker is a real PITA!!

A little more progress. Got trans cooler mounted and plumbed behind cab on outside of frame. Finished the final cold torque on my studs and adjusted valves. Mounted and plumbed fuel pressure regulator and cleaned up some unnecessary junk under the truck.
