1984 half ton drag truck project

Postby dazedandconfused » Sun Feb 27, 2011 11:44 am

Well I bought a half ton to drag race with. Going to put my 93 engine and trans in it for now. I pick the truck up Friday after he pulls the 360 out of it.

Looks like a good start. I'm just about finished with mine. The wheels came in tuesday. Looks like I will be able to be at TS at least looking decent. I've promised myself that I will be gentle on the truck till I can get another trans. lined up.

only person besides me who's seen it in the past month is my wife. I'll get pics after it comes out of the shop and gets it wet sanding.

On a side note: I like the mirrors on your project, i am currenty just going without.

They are broke though so need to find some more like those. It looks different then in the pic. There are no moldings on it right now. Which wheels did you go with?

That truck has a really nice stance. Anything custom going on under it? Axle flip, blocks, or what?

Axle isn't fliped. I didn't pay attention to the rear that much. Plan to four link a Dana 60 under it so didn't matter to me.

Well getting screwed out of this. Seller is backing out of deal and not wanting to give my deposit back. I'm livid right now.

"Big Andy" showing at the door with a bat at 6am. I think I'd have my wife give the money back while I cowered under the bed too!
Glad to hear you got it. There'll be other trucks.
