2003 Cummins Injector Rebuild

Postby collegekid » Fri Nov 04, 2011 6:41 pm

What all is involved with rebuilding 3rd gen injectors, or for that matter, any injector....are the rebuild kits expensive? Are special tools required?

3rd gen injectors require a $25000 test stand to test. Since you can't pop test one there is no way to verify the spray pattern or chatter and seating. All you can do is swap tips on one with no way to know what the result was.
