Riverside Engine Inc (REI) is doing the machine work to the motor. He is behind on ours because we arent spending enough money with him. He likes the 20k and up jobs, which i dont really understand because of corn prices and nobody spending money. I am really hoping i can go pick it up this weekend. Makes me a bit sad knowing i am spending all this cash on the IH and could have had one killer truck built lol. Oh well its all in fun!

Never dealt with riverside.. but I have heard a lot about them.. they are who all the big guys around here use..

And I don't blame you.. If someone handed me that kind of money, I wouldn't bat an eye at building a tractor before the truck. The trucks just the tow pig for the real toy. lol. They will probably ban me now

Phil knows how to make power. I hope we see some of those results. Hope to hear from him tomorrow. Then it's assembly and dyno time.

I have spent more on this tractor than I like to admit. The total price in the tractor scares the poop out of me. Maybe if we keep blowing money on it a little at a time we can slide in a light pro class. Doubtful. Back to putting the painted parts on and trying to get as much done as we can. The. Disassble and have the sheet metal powder coated.

Started to get some stuff done last weekend. Went and picked up a new cage last weekend. Also picked up the motor parts. Rei really screwed us on this one. Didn't doible drill the crank for the clutch, didn't surface the block for roller lifters, didn't surface the exhaust side of the head, and didn't put new injector seats in. So after all that money I have to spend more at a different shop to fix it. The rest of the motor is super secret squirrel sthi. Now pics.

Got the seat put in, brake pedals modified again, 5 point harness in today. Next weekend it's fender time.

I hate it when companies do that kind of bs to people. That cage is pretty badass though

Yup I will never do business with him again. What really upsets me is the amount of money spent there I could have bought a pretty nice rust free four wheel drive first gen. The cage and sheet metal will be powder coated as soon as we get the fab work done. Local guy said he would powder cost all the sheet metal for $400 so shouldn't be much more for the cage.

Got the fenders and rear plate put on this weekend. Everything is finished up there until I get the new throttle handle (for free). Mask machine has been giving me his test pieces to try out. Looks like a sweet piece. Gotta go get some machine work done to the motor this weekend. Now to the pics.

I should have it next week. It comes fully polished. That is in rough form. Means a bunch of redo but free is for me and he needs a test subject. He also made the handle on the tractor now and the water injection manifold. He does really nice work. He is working on a set of billet rods also right now. Trying to talk him into making some disc brake rotors for me. I can put together the rest of a disc brake setup for about $750 total. Other guys are wanting $1200 for the kit. I'm not above piecing it together!

Got the short block together. Had to change to disc brakes. Long story but they look awesome. Fyi wilwood brakes suck very bad to bleed.

Last time I bled the brakes on The Roo Hunter I had a power bleeder. Those things work nice. I had a lot of air in those lines, and all I had to do was stand there with the bleeder open

We have spent two weeks getting these bled completely. It was a nightmare.

Holy crap. That does sound like a nightmare. What's made them so difficult to bleed do you think?

The way they are designed. They have four bleeders on each caliper. Had to take them off and power bleed them while shaking the crap out of them to get the air out. It took us an hour to do that. Still have one more side to do. Yay!
