Spence, I decided to upgrade my clutch before it started to slip. I have the 650hp ceramic from Valair in the truck, needless to say, it don't slip. ;)

Ummmmmm, yeah, that's a polite way to put it. I need to start wrapping my head around the whole "build for what you need" instead of the "build it so it won't break" dealio. Bit myself in the ass several times now because of that. ;)

So I noticed a very nice bull nose ford trailing me the other day. It was a manual , and turns out it was a 6.9. For whatever reason, there's not many IDI's in our area. He was a kid my age, so I figured he'd want to play a little.

Lined up at the red light, he launched (if a 6.9 can do that) fairly aggressive, and I took it a little easier for my clutches sake. He had the gain on me at about 2 car lengths, I finally passed him at about 65 mph. For an idi, it wasn't as slow as I imagined, ran about like the stock PSD . Doubt he put a turbo on it because the smoke never cleared any.

Raced a late OBS 7.3 that looked like it came out of the factory a week ago........I mean nice. All he had was 4'' exhaust and an old Superchips chip, either 60 or 80 hp. I guess maintenance and upkeep really keeps a vehicle going good.......because he waxed me

Anything is possible, but the lack of smoke (believe me on that, unfortunately I had a clear view of his tailpipe the WHOLE race) blew my mind........I mean I really am not sure if there was any....

No puffs between shifts either
