Ive got a 425 3406b cat and a 310 3406b. The 310 is working twords 700,000 miles and I do believe it has never been majored. Its funny, the 425 is in a wheeler dump truck and the 310 is in a triaxle dump. I like how they pull. The 310 will pull hard all the way down to 1300 rpm's. The 425 won't lug as good but has lots more top end power and speed. I am happy with them. They are both 1990's and with this ecomomy they will have to last another 20.

This 425 has been majored twice and has just over two million miles on it.It is one of the few white motors that were produced in 1987. I dynoed it once at the mack garage beside Dysarts, back in 1999 or 2000. 525hp to the ground. I need to find the dyno sheet for the torque numbers.

I did not know they had a dyno there. I think thats where I bought my 2 stacks for my 93 dodge. Is it across from the Pottles trucking yard on Odlin rd?

No, right between Dysarts main store and I-95. I think they went out though, my dad ran Macks for years(thats his in the 2nd pic) but now he runs a Western Star, and Im pretty sure he said they went out of there, but yes there is or was a big truck dyno there. I only dynoed a few times cause I blistered tires real bad and got tired of changing out tires just to see what I gained. After that I would just load heavy, and play on "the airline" or another unforgiving trail.
