Correct me if I'm wrong, but the KTA is probably for the KTS in his mid 70s KW that's getting like 1000-1100hp to the wheels.

The Cummins stated mileage for 24V engines is a load of horse manure. I did the valves on an 01 with ~80K several years ago, first time it had been done on that truck. Guy told me the next week it was like driving a brand new truck. I did have to tighten each adjuster about 1/4turn or so- they definitely needed doing.

Valve adjustments are like trimming horses- it cant be done too often.

Yep the KTA's are the ultimate Diesel 6cyl for beef and reliability. I do have one that is dynoed over 1000hp too. Made the Cat boys upset when it shut their dyno down. :P Yes if you overlaod a big waterbrake dyno the safetys kick in and turn the load loose. I was told that was the only time it had ever happened........ and they didn't want it to happen again...... have a nice day but don't come back! lol
