HVLP paint guns

Postby Farmboy » Wed Aug 31, 2016 12:55 pm

Ok.. so I am just as cheap as the rest of you but I still like my tools to work right the first time... That being said, who's got any suggestions for a decent working yet low cost HVLP gravity paint gun. I have just a few painting projects that aren't going to require a show quality paint job (camper, tractor, etc) but one of those things where I don't want to make more work for myself from buying cheap junk that doesn't work. It's not going to get a whole lot of use, maybe one project every few years type of thing.

Harbor Freight has some very low cost guns.. but they just seem too cheap. But I've never used one either.

and i really don't want to spend $400 on a gun that I am hardly ever going to use.

So what about some mid range?

Any suggestions?

Looking at this one.. doesn't look so bad..

I think that's the one my dad uses and we painted my van with it and you wouldn't be able to tell except I didn't put the Chrysler emblem on the grill or fog lights in the bumper. It works great for what we use it for.

I have used a pricey gun and the HF guns....can't tell any difference when we are talking HVLP.
