So my buddy sold his 24 valve and has a brand new helix 2 cam. That he will sell me for 250$.will this can work in my engine.I hope it does cus a Hamilton is expensive

Yes, you can...........however they don't have a lift pump lobe.

Plus, the Hamilton 188/220 seems to be quite the ticket right now.

Yeah I'm just worried with clearance and kinda want to be on the safe side with the 188/208.
Found out how muchh they took off my head and block.it was .065

Anything over stock is better.plus Im not revving it higher than stock rpms so I wouldn't really benefit the 188/220

The 188/220 actually makes the most bottom end power, perfect for a VE.
'90 D250 R/C,727,IC,6x.009's,1/8" bump,fuel psi,straight pipe w/5" stack.
'90 W250 R/C,47rh,K@N,HX35,1/8" bump,2nd gen IC,boost,egt,trans temp.3.07's.
'96 2500 S/C L/B,2wd,NV5600,3.54 L/S,cai,egt,pacbrake,mbrp exhaust,10 plate.
Bring back the Bank of Canada, PRE- 1974.

The common thinking is the larger the cam the better for high end........there is a lot of truth to that, but the 188/220 seems to make the most bottom end.

Remps is dead on what the testing has shown so far.

I did.he said run the 220 if I had enough clearance but said the 208 would also be a good choice

I put a 188/220 in several motors and they clear fine
