Yep I ran across that and this

Now if I could come up with the compressor housing I could build another hybrid for my 82,sadly I haven't.

They do. I've been thinking on this one.

But I want to make a wise choice and only do it once. My only beef with BAE is I have heard literally nothing good nor bad about them. Then again I'm not on the up and up diesel sites either.

Hell yea is right!

Ya as soon as I hit "submit" I muttered an hx35 is probably as big as I can go. In reality the 35 is all I'll need
but finding a good used in my area is slim, and I'd rather not buy sight unseen off the net. A $7-800 reman 35 or a
new $1500 kick ass 62 is a no-brainer. I'll spend the extra.

The H1c upgrade was first on my list for a time but the cost didn't seem worth it. I'd just be nervous I screwed
something up on a critical piece of equiptment.

The adapter though! Ellis, awesome find and thanks for sharing. That would seem to work. I wonder how much the DP
angle would be thrown off where it bolts to the EB? I'm sure the 62 is longer. Thanks for all the responses guys I
appreciate it.

The 62 is about the same as a 35, length wise.

An hx35 is one inch longer than a h1c. That is because of the wastegated housing. Honestly your not gonna pay 7 or 800 for a reman hx35,hell you can rebushing the core you have and go to Gillet diesel service and buy the 60mm upgrade for less than 400$ And there is ZERO machining required. Now....your keeping your existing exhaust housing doing that but your brake is left as is.

On the other hand if you go 12cm housing-ed hx35 the whole exhuast runs back about an Inch on normal trucks, looking at you down pipe/brake assembly I think I see some room.
If you go fancy turbo and have to use that flang,I think there will be some serious pipe mods to consider. Or cutting and angling of the adaptor. I more than likely would cut up the adaptor and make it work out.

Anyway you go you'll do well by your truck and non of them will make you sorry you fooled with it.

In my opinion.....if money wasn't a concern Id go big fancy Hungry Diesel turbo and deal with the pipe. Sadly....money is always a concern with me

Ellis, a few people on CompD have used BAE parts and like them. I may upgrade my turbine on the HE351 to a 64mm.

I bought that exact adapter when I put the H1C back in my twins set up. It's a nice piece and reasonable price too. I bought a 12cm housing, a blank outlet, and welded the adapter into the outlet to give me a 12cm wastegated housing with a 4 inch outlet. Worked great!

BAE is in california I believe. Their website seems legit and they have good products. I've ran some of their stuff and have had good luck with it. Super40 compressor upgrade and a few rebuild kits.
I called one time a got I believe the owner, sounded American, talked the talk anyway. Lol…

But then I called another time and got a asian lady… like could not understand her speak reree good asian.
I'll admit, I was nervous as all hell, (no I'm not racist) but the parts were of great quality and lasted for years, and I'm sure they still are for another good dude down the road.
I'm not afraid to run there parts even if the cleaning lady does work double duty as the receptionist. Lol

I appreciate all the replies! If I bought the 62 and the v-band adapter it'll really push back the EB. As it sits the air cylinder component is really close to the firewall. I was scrutinizing the set-up today. I'm not sure how I could get it to work. This EB is really a "have it and not need it than need it and not have it" situation. I currently don't haul/tow a damn thing. I'll sit it on it and get back to y'all if needed.

I know a few guys that make a custom d/p and put the brake in the downward part (after the bend at the firewall).

Ya I've run across some real slick homemade in-line EB's. The way I see it I can either upgrade my current charger in order to keep my EB or purchase both the 62 charger and a new in-line EB. I don't understand how I could mod the v-band adapter and/or the EB elbow to make it fit. I'm not too savvy with that kinda stuff.

You'd have to neck the d/p size down to 3" and then go through the brake... and then neck it back up to 4". It wouldn't be optimal to be honest.

Let me check on something and see if I can get back to you today on it.
