Twins Oil Lines

Postby CumminsPride » Fri Apr 18, 2008 8:11 am

What is good source for oil lines for my HT3B? Oh and the T for the stocker to fit to. My NAPA is the only place near me that makes hydro lines and I just verified that they don't have the fittings I need.

How far are you from Indy? Plenty of places there. I could name one if you are near there.

I'm in muncie, about an hour away. I can at least call them and see if they can ship them to me. What trucks primarily did the HT3B come out of? I'm going to a big rig junk yard on monday.

A good Parker hose and fitting store I've had to go to because TH didn't have what I needed, J and F Distributing, 3070 Lafayette Road, sorta nortwest side. 317-925-8259. You would have to know what ends you want for them to build and ship.

For one of the best big rig junkyards in the country, Russ Fisher Truck Parts, Terre Haute, at I-70 exit 11 behind the Pilot truckstop. 800-443-2535 or 812-877-2535.

I'm pretty sure the ht3b is from an old 855 Cummins and or possible the newer n14 Cummins. It's usually readily available at any decent yard.

On my HT60 the oil feed was just N.P.T. I went to the local JD dealer and they got me a NPT to JIC fitting and it worked good.

If you are looking for a good deal on a new one here you go.
Click on truck turbo price on the left side then click on the 1st PDF file on the right side.

A new HT3b w/ 26cm housing is $275.
No core either. Outright.

The one you want is #167409.

14X1.5mm is my oil inlet. What is the o-ring fitting size that screws into the filter housing? Or what are the current fittings on stock turbo line?

It's NPT. One is 1/8npt, the other is either 1/4 or 1/8npt.

Bill you are a sharp guy, but one outlet is 1/8npt. The port that the factory turbo line goes in is actually 12x1.5mm. If you have a parker, they built me two teflon 4an lines + an Tee + 12mm adapter for $78 out the door ;)

Also, look up "hose fittings/couplings", or "hydraulic supply" in the yellow pages, you will find a solution there.

So can a guy use both ports? I mean my stocker fits and then I could use silicone oil pressure hose 1/8" npt barbs and I have a 90* for the B3.

Sure, That's What It's There For

Postby Ace » Tue Apr 22, 2008 6:35 am

I'm using both off mine. 1/8npt port feeds the bypass oil filter and a mechanical pressure gauge.
