Another San Antonion with a first gen!

I hear good things about hx35/40 hybrids, or S300s.

Garrets are nice, it all depends on wheel sizes, pitch, and housings. There's alot to a turbo other than just measuring mm's and A/R or CM2. But when built to suit the job, the garret equivilent, I feel is a superior turbo to the Holset HX35/40.

But a genuine Garret is gonna cost more than a S300 and it's a very proven turbo.

If it's the stocker from the PSD, it likely wont be much of an upgrade, if any.

theres a couple in san antonio. for the most part every time I need a part I go to cummins and get what i want and talk to the professionals that know its limits. thay wont do the work but they will basically talk you through it. I got tired of teaching the diesel performance places to do any work. thers a guy north of SA and he has nothing but a field of our trucks for parts. I will get the number ;)
