Twin Turbos

Postby opofus » Mon May 12, 2008 8:34 pm

I am not sure if this has been discussed, but I will ask the question anyway...

What is a good combo of turbos for a twin system. I have read the HX-35, is a good turbo.

I also have access to a turbo from a 2007 24v. It looks like it will bolt up direct, but it has an electronic wastegate. Any comments?

Which one first?

I work on a budget, so which would be better to get first, the HX 35 and put it on and run it until I get the second one, or the HT3? Or.... play with the pump first and forego the turbo upgrade. I want a daily driver that has the power and speed when I need it. What to do, What to do?

if your talking about the 07 turbo that's not an hx 35. There was a write up on one of the forums about adapting either an 06 or 07 turbo to a 12 valve. Sounds like they are a 60 or 62 compressor wheel and run a lot cooler then an hx-35. I'm not sure what is involved in making it work but it wasnt a bolt on. Do some homework on it and you might wind up with a great single turbo.
