Nutty injector line idea

Postby cummins king » Tue Jun 10, 2008 8:41 pm

So leave it up to me to come out with this idea

Why cant we take 1/8th (.125 very big yes) grease lines that are rated to 6000psi put the right ends on it and bolt it up from the injection pump to the injectors, i know the ends would be the tricky part, but not impossilbe, is there any reason why it wouldnt work?

I heard ve's don't like really big injection lines unless they are moving gratuitous amounts of fuel. And those are really, really, ridiculously huge.
But that's just hear-say coming from me.

Might be kinda tough. Remember, the lines all have to be the same finished length. ;)

PS, can you send me some of what you're drinking? I need some inspiration!

My VE makes more than that or it wouldn't run. It takes 3600psi just to get the injector to open, any less and it won't fuel and no fuel means no run. Depending on injector flow and fuel delivery rates the peak pressure in the VE can be in the 12000 psi range pretty easy.
