92 Engine/Trans in 97 V10 CC 4X4

Postby CumminsPride » Tue Jun 24, 2008 9:07 am

My buddy just bought a 97 V10 CC LB 4X4 and he called me and said what do we need to bolt this in. I am guessing 94-02 mounts but is the Xmember the same under the engine? Also using the 92's Fresh tranny. The T-Case will bolt up the the 518 wont it? We can make all the other garb work but I am concerned about getting the motor mounts secured properly . Thanks for any input.

Oh and we have the 92 4X4 truck complete for all the parts.

Will be parting out when swap complete. PM any interests.

the v10's auto will bolt to the cummins. Need a good diesel converter and diesel valvebody and you can have lockup as far as I know.

We also need the pcm and harness from a diesel to use the 47re. I know about the converter. This is a "On The Cheap" swap. So for now he will use the 518 and maybe later put the re back in. I am more concerned about the motor mounts.
