Diesel Ramcharger runs low 11s

Postby JQmile » Sun Jun 22, 2008 10:13 pm

Ok so he is cheating in multiple ways, but this weekend I got to see Harvey's (J&H Performance, Redding, CA) P-pumped Cummins swap ramcharger take it's second pass ever down the quarter. It's mini-tubbed with ladder bars, with a junkyard motor in it, and some of the blue bottle. Only weighs 4200 w/o driver and has 15-inch slicks out back. Guess what? No weight and big power is a good thing, second pass ever it went 11.1@128mph with a 4psi launch. Congrats on the sweet run, I figured I'd post the info here since Ramchargers at least look boxy like the first gens ;) I'll see if I can get some pics up later.

This is a new fast Ramcharger?

I saw video of one really fast Diesel Ramcharger a year or two ago... It launched real ugly, but it was quicker than 12.00.

Same engine, new ramcharger. He switched from 4wd to a gutted, mini-tubbed 2wd which lost about 1200lbs and he added more nitrous. Now 12.0 has become 11.1 8) Here are some pics:

mph should be good for 10.80s once he is dialed in.

I agree. I've decided that even if you p-pump a first gen, it's still a first gen. A modification you can do in a few days shouldn't make it a different truck.

You can drop a 426 Hemi or a common rail into a first gen Ram as easy as you can P-pump one...

Yup, that one exactly.

Is that the one in question here?
