Great info guys...I think I've got a pretty good plan to work with now.

The truck will be a DD, but will be abused quite a bit offroad...and maybe on the road :D :D :D

I've decided to go with a set of Marine Spec Pistons to drop the compression...PDR sells a set that aren't ceramic coated and said it's really not a necessary expense for what I'm building...I'm not too sure about that; I tend to be pretty hard on my rig...and am going to exceed 400 hp once I run water/meth and nitrous with twins...

I am also going to have the head o-ringed, and run a "marine" gasket (.020 thicker than stock). I haven't decided if I'm gonna o-ring the block yet...is it gonna be worth the extra expense? The block has to go to the machine shop anyways...the cylinder that cracked the piston is scored a lil bit.

For injectors, I'm gonna order either 6x18's or 6x20's...any problems with getting them from PDR?

While I've got her apart, I'd might as well upgrade the valve springs and port the exhaust side too.

Does anyone have any experience with custom cams in this engine? I have found a few for the 94-98 engines, but don't see anything for the 1st gen. except the one from PDR. Will the 2nd Gen ones work right with the earlier engine? I'm looking at the Formula 1 Helix 2 cam or PDR's new Marine Cam.
