I'm getting my gasket from Syracuse Crank & Machine Inc. for $73.18 with free ground shipping.

Here is their website: http://www.agkits.com/Cummins-Head-Gaskets.aspx

Pete do you know this place?

Unless it's a genuine CUmmins gasket, I wouldnt piss in the wind for it. I have yet to see a parts store gasket compare to the Cummins. Might work for an old man daily driver, but not if you want to top 500hp.

And on that note, I think 500hp for a tow rig IS pushing it, but you should be able to do 400 nicely, keep EGT around 10-1100deg and still get decent towing MPGs (12-14 with your set up and weight). Make sure you have the gauges- pyro, boost, trans temp, and fuel pressure.

Has anyone ever even made 500rwhp on a 12mm H/R? I can't think of anyone, so I agree that 500rwhp is a little to much to expect.

I think 400rwhp might be a little much as well, but it is certainly doable.

I thought Bill made 502 on a 12mm? Did he have a 14mm in there?
pete

Just enough power to break everything behind the crankshaft.
