14mm longevity??

Postby seeker1056 » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:44 pm

Ok, so who's got the most street miles on a 14 mm pump with no serious issues?

I keep hearing they arent lasting only about 5-600 miles before they are done and sieze up.

If so whats the issue? No lubrication in the fuel or just too much a poor piece?

Are the KTA pieces outlasting the Rocken Tech's or vice versa, or about the same?

Our season is about to start and I expect to put on about 2500 miles this summer and I am curious about what to expect

thanx

2500 miles? You don't trailer the puller to the track?

If I were to guess, I've got about 2000 miles on my kta 14mm built pump. I can't remember when I first got it, 2006 maybe.

I've got a KTA-SPECIAL that must have over 8000 miles on it. No problems here. It even turned about 5k rpm once.

I have one truck that has about 16000miles on one of mine, but it is only turned for about 350-400hp. The one on my yellow truck has about 6000 on it. I ran my turned up 12mm stock pump for 80,000 miles.
