Postby 90FIRSTGEN CUMMINS » Tue Jun 23, 2009 4:04 pm

There is a s300 66/14 on ebay right now that I am looking at. Can I get some opinions on this turbo or if anyone has one do they like it. Is it good for towing things like this. Any help would be great

thanks Jason

pretty good chance you may get surging, I know you might even get turbo surge on the 64/14
You should put some info about your truck on your sig

That turbo is to big.

The biggest turbo I would get, especially for towing would be a 62/71/14 S300. Some people won't recommend those, because they spool a little slow. I know a lot of people love their HX40's for towing. they won't flow as much air as the S300, but they spool up faster, and support a lot more fuel than the stock turbo.

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with a Super HX40.

What exactly do you plan on towing? How heavy?

I agree with 91, For a towing turbo it is hard to beat a Super HX40.
